The Founder and General Overseer of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has expressed strong confidence in the leadership abilities of President John Dramani Mahama, describing him as a visionary and selfless leader poised to bring transformation to Ghana.
Speaking in an interview on The Point of View with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV on Monday, July 7, the respected clergyman highlighted Mahama’s renewed sense of purpose and commitment to national development.
According to Archbishop Duncan-Williams, Mahama’s experience from his previous tenure gives him a unique perspective and a greater sense of responsibility in addressing the country’s challenges.
“He has been here before. He has learned from his past mistakes and has come back with drive, passion, and a determination to correct those mistakes and make a real difference,” the Archbishop said.
He further noted that Africa, and Ghana in particular, has the potential to thrive, citing the continent’s vast natural resources, including gold, oil, and cocoa. He lamented the ongoing economic struggles and leadership crises in parts of the continent, calling for a new wave of committed and forward-thinking leaders.
“There’s no reason why our currency should be struggling. With the gold reserves we have, the oil and cocoa, we can do better. We just need visionary and selfless leadership,” he added.
The Archbishop’s remarks come at a critical time when national conversations are centered around economic recovery, inclusive governance, and leadership accountability. His endorsement contributes significantly to the discourse on Ghana’s political future and the expectations of the electorate.
