‘No campaign billboards, T-shirts or souvenirs at the venue’ - NPP warns ahead of National Delegates Conference

New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially released a set of stringent guidelines ahead of its much-anticipated National Delegates Conference, scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.

In a press release issued by the party’s leadership, the NPP emphasized that the rules are aimed at ensuring order, safety, and neutrality throughout the event, as the party prepares to decide on key matters ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Delegates and supporters have been strongly warned against bringing or wearing any campaign-branded materials to the venue. The party has imposed a complete ban on:

Billboards

Posters and flyers

T-shirts

Banners

Branded souvenirs

“There shall be no billboards, banners, posters, flyers, T-shirts, or souvenirs with aspirant branding allowed at the venue or within Accra,” the statement read.

“All such prohibited campaign materials shall be removed and destroyed by the compliance team.”

The ban extends to all forms of campaigning, not only at the conference grounds but throughout Accra, and covers the entire period before, during, and after the event.

The NPP has deployed a dedicated compliance and operations team to enforce the directives. The party cautioned that any individual found in breach of security protocols or engaging in misconduct will face legal consequences.

“Any person arrested for misconduct, breach of security protocols, or disturbance shall be dealt with in accordance with the law, including possible prosecution.”

The party has also restricted access to the conference grounds strictly to invited delegates. Non-delegates are advised to stay home and follow proceedings via television or other media platforms.

“No special access will be granted to non-delegates if they are not invited,” the statement added.
