Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo has officially kicked off pre-season training with AFC Bournemouth, joining his teammates on Monday, July 7, as the club begins preparations for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
The 25-year-old forward, who recently signed a contract extension that keeps him at Vitality Stadium until 2030, took part in gym sessions and football drills under the guidance of head coach Andoni Iraola.
Semenyo’s return to the south coast comes despite reported transfer interest from top English clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Black Stars forward opted to commit his future to Bournemouth, where he has continued to grow as a key player.
“I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season,” Semenyo said after putting pen to paper.
The Cherries will ramp up their pre-season schedule in the coming weeks, with a series of friendly matches lined up—including a tour of the United States—as they gear up for the new season which kicks off in August
