Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have officially unveiled their pre-season roadmap ahead of the 2025/2026 football season, as the Porcupine Warriors gear up for domestic and continental competition.

In an announcement shared across the club’s official social media platforms, players are expected to report to camp today, July 13, marking the start of pre-season preparations following a successful 2024/2025 campaign that ended with FA Cup glory.

The club revealed that medical assessments for all players will be conducted on Monday, July 14, followed immediately by the first training sessions.

The early return to camp is in preparation for a high-profile international friendly fixture and other rigorous training ahead of the new season.

A major highlight of the club’s pre-season will be a trip to South Africa on July 22, where Asante Kotoko will face South African giants Kaizer Chiefs in the Toyota Cup, a friendly competition aimed at strengthening ties between the two clubs and giving both sides top-level match exposure.

The team is expected to return to Ghana on July 29, after which preparations will continue locally ahead of the Ghana Premier League season and their campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Following their FA Cup triumph, Asante Kotoko is determined to mount a serious challenge for the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League title. The club has already begun strategic squad reinforcements, aimed at not only dominating the domestic league but also making a strong impression in Africa.

Fans are hopeful that with early preparations and the right additions to the squad, the Porcupine Warriors can reclaim their status as Ghana’s top football powerhouse both at home and on the continental stage.
