No injunction on NPP Conference – Divine Agorhom


 Divine Otoo Agorhom, Chairman of the Accommodation Committee for the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming National Delegates Conference, has dismissed reports of any legal injunction against the event.


Speaking in an exclusive interview on Channel One Newsroom, Mr. Agorhom—who also serves as the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the party—assured the public that no court order has been served to stop the conference scheduled for Saturday, July 19.


His clarification comes after two party members, Shamsudeen Iddrisu and Boateng Kwadwo, reportedly filed a motion at the High Court in Accra seeking an interlocutory injunction to halt the upcoming conference.


“We met even today, and as at the time I was leaving the stadium and coming to your studio, nothing of such has come to the notice of the committee,” Agorhom stated.


Agorhom emphasized that logistical and accommodation arrangements are fully on track, and the party is focused on delivering a successful event.


“As far as I am concerned, we have a conference coming on Saturday and nothing is changing,” he added.


The NPP’s National Delegates Conference is a critical internal event where key party decisions are made, including leadership elections and constitutional amendments. Party supporters and stakeholders across the country are expected to attend.
